Body Isabelle and Whit Parkey competed at the West Texas Fair and Rodeo in Abilene. Isabelle brought home a 5th place with her Polled Hereford heifer, 3rd place with her Limousin heifer and 3rd place with her Brangus heifer.

Body As expected, the Holliday Lady Eagles cross country team has been dominant on the young season. Archer City and Windthorst have had strong showings at the local cross country meets.

Body The Windthorst 7thgrade Spartans defeated the Alvord Bulldogs 28- 18 on Thursday, Sept. 9. Brock “Big Juicy” Belcher threw two touchdown passes to Adam Barton and Brayden Messineo. Hayden Cavazos added two touchdowns on the ground. The Spartans are now 1-0 on the season.

Body Second-ranked Windthorst rolled up nearly 500 yards of total offense in a 49-0 rout of De Leon on the road on Friday, Sept. 3. The Trojans (2-0) host Archer City (1-0) in their home opener on Friday, Sept. 10.
