Marchand leads Archer County News' Baseball Diamond Dozen

Body It was another tremendous season on the baseball diamond for Archer County. Archer City, Holliday and Windthorst all won district championships and advanced several rounds deep in the postseason. These kids deserve all the recognition they can get for all their hard work.

Oil Bowl loaded with Archer County talent

Body The 85th Maskat Shrine Oil Bowl Classic is chocked full of Archer County athletes with 23 recent graduates taking the field one final time. Holliday led the way with 10 selections while Archer City had eight and Windthorst five.

Lindemann repeats as ACN Diamond Dozen MVP

Body It was another dominant season on the softball diamond for Archer County. Holliday made a run to the regional finals, Archer City gave the eventual state champs all they could handle and Windthorst went several rounds deep.

All-District Softball, Baseball teams announced

Body Softball Archer County schools had a tremendous season on the softball diamond, virtually sweeping all-district accolades for District 9-2A and District 7-3A. Archer City’s Maddie Lopez and Holliday’s Addison Lindemann were each named MVP of their respective districts.

Lady Eagles run out of magic in regional finals

Body Holliday had its fair share of opportunities to force a decisive game three on Saturday but the comeback bid just wasn’t in the cards as the Lady Eagles dropped a pair of games to Coahoma, 5-1 and 7-4, in the regional finals.
